The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A Lovely Story of Stories
I really enjoyed this book. Set primarily in the comfort of a cozy bookstore on a New England island, the characters that populate it are unusual yet relatable. The structure of the story includes a sidebar, or note, at the start of each chapter in which the protagonist shares thoughts about his favorite books and their relevance to life. Though predictable at times, this beautifully insightful story flows easily and kept me engaged, making the book hard to put down through to the end.
