          verBrook Publishing Group is a full-service pre-press agency and an independent publisher. We offer our clients creative and practical solutions for editing, design, and publishing.

Among our clients are independent scholars and historians whose complex manuscripts include footnotes, indexes and tables. Our clients also include artists and educators whose portfolios and illustrated children's books require impeccable design and high quality 4-color printing.

Often projects require researching images online, or going on location for model and product photo shoots. Then comes the editing, layout, and publishing -- always with growth and scalability in mind. It sounds like a lot of work, but time flies when you love what you do. That makes examining text or planning, designing, and collecting the necessary elements to complete a project fun.

Each client project is unique. Whether it be creating an e-commerce website, producing a full-color magazine, editing and/or translating a manuscript, OverBrook Publishing strives for excellence while keeping your project affordable.

The projects we handle include:

• Full-scale book production for print in hardcover, paperback, and ePub or Kindle
• Editing -- rates are based on word count or by the hour
  • We use a choice of MLA, CMS, or APA manuals of style for academic and other nonfiction publications
  • Word count editing rates for first revision of a manuscript are tiered:
    • Copy editing rate is $.04 per word and includes reviewing and correcting a manuscript for spelling, punctuation, and basic grammar
    • Line editing rate is $.07 per word and includes copy editing, plus some level of rewriting, if necessary, for sentence structure, paragraph and overall content cohesion
  • Editing by the hour at $75 per hour is the best option for
    • Manuscripts that require extensive line editing and rewriting; and
    • Manuscripts that require line editing and indexing
• Editing a second revision of a manuscript and/or incorporating author's alterations (AA's) at $75 per hour
• Indexing manuscripts is at $75 per hour
• Translating text from English to Spanish -- rates are $.15 per word, based on the word count of the source text
• Translating text from Spanish to English -- rates are $.15 per word, based on the word count of the source text
• Book Design and Formatting -- rates are based upon the complexity of the manuscript and quoted as
  • a project flat fee
  • or by the hour at $125 per hour
• Book Publishing (separate from editing and/or translating and book design and formatting) is quoted per project, as all projects vary, but may include
  • Registering copyright, obtaining Library of Congress Control number, obtaining ISBN bar codes
  • Publishing book in hardcover (minimum 50 copies), paperback, and/or ePub or Kindle
  • Creating Marketing campaign
  • Distributing through Amazon.com
